Joya de Nicaragua describes seco, viso and ligero according to levels of the plant. The terms help to read a filler selection while keeping the vocabulary of the manufacturer that publishes it.

The names of the leaves can also indicate the level of the plant they come from. Knowing that vocabulary makes it possible to interpret the descriptions of a blend in greater detail.

In its explanation of cultivation, Joya de Nicaragua places seco, viso and ligero from the lower levels to the upper ones. This is the nomenclature the manufacturer uses to present its selection of leaves.

A reference such as “ligero de Estelí” brings together a leaf name and a regional origin. To know its role in a cigar, the function published in the sheet has to be added. Reading those three dimensions separately helps to follow how an agricultural selection ends up incorporated into the construction.
